In just a short period of time, Timothy R. Smyth has already developed a unique range of practice areas and experience. Mr. Smyth has substantial experience representing subcontractors, homeowners and other entities in complex construction defect litigation matters, as well as experience in-house representing start-up companies focusing on new technology and real property transactions. Additionally, Mr. Smyth has been involved in drafting contracts and handling intellectual property matters for a wide variety of companies throughout his legal career.

Mr. Smyth is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He is a member of the California Bar Association, Intellectual Property Division, as well as the San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association. While a student at Golden Gate University School of Law, Mr. Smyth was elected President of the Intellectual Property Law Association, and was a recipient of several awards, including the Witkins Award for Excellence in Criminal Procedure and a Certificate award in Intellectual Property.
